Titz'n Glitz Bra Busters

Many like minded women and men have united, creating their own support line fundraisers to bring money to On The Front Line Society (breast cancer fund).

About the Bra Buster Awards:
Teams throughout the province can put their bra bustin’ spirit to work by competing with other groups. The teams that raise the most money are presented with our Bra Buster Awards - the Corporate and Community Cups - on stage the night of our Titz ’n Glitz event! Teams are also awarded Sponsorship benefits based on the level of funds raised.

Check out fundraising ideas for some inspiration.

Please note: To be considered for the Bra Buster Awards, monies raised and the number of people in your Bra Buster group must be submitted a minimum of 3 weeks prior to event night.

Striking for Charity - a Soccer Tournament for Women in the Law

On October 27, 2007, women from the Halifax area came together for the second time to participate in the “Striking for Charity – a Soccer Tournament for Women in the Law” event. Michelle Kelly of Cox & Palmer organized the event that brought together female lawyers and support staff from Boyne Clarke, Cox & Palmer, the Department of Justice, McInnes Cooper, and Stewart McKelvey for a one-day indoor soccer tournament to raise money. After an intense round-robin where each team played two games, the Department of Justice and Boyne Clarke faced off in the semi-finals which saw Jus’titz, as they were properly named, win by a narrow 1-0 margin. Jus’titz went on to meet Stewart McKelvey in the finals where the game was tied after regulation. Although the standings are important, the most significant part of the day was the chance for women from the legal community to come together and participate in a fun day of sport while raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause. Overall, $429.83 was raised for the On The Front Line Society (breast cancer fund).
