You can catch Mary Ellen this December at the Cohn in The Nutcracker with Symphony Nova Scotia. She’s thrilled to be part of this fantastic evening. Enjoy! |

EXIT 4 is named after the Route 102 exit that two of the girls use when going to practice near the homes of the remaining members. The quartet of tenor, Margie Langley, lead, Sue Kember, bass, Marion Fraser-Pritchard and baritone, Mary King are diehard barbershoppers with barbershop widowers of at least 10 years standing. The rhythm of swing, sounds of jazz, harmonies of barbershop and the discipline of singing make barbershop an interesting lifetime hobby. Although they are serious about their music, they try to remember that it is not just the chord that matters but the "accord". |

Belindance Halifax’s first independent professional Belly Dance Studio, was founded in April 1996 by Belinda Ferguson. Belly Dance, although misrepresented by film and television as burlesque, is not a jiggle show bent on titillation. It is a highly disciplined art. This dance form celebrates feminine energy and the glorious diversity of the female form. In 1999, 2000, and 2002, Belindance achieved great success in the annual Atlantic Fringe Festival and was voted "Fringe Hit" each year they performed. |
